Sustainable Development Goals
Singapore's SDG Progress
A snapshot of Singapore’s progress in achieving all 169 targets by 2030 based on the prevailing trend growth of the SDG indicators from the baseline year of 2015 is presented below. Using data up to 2022 or 2023, good or fair progress was observed in meeting over half (56%) of all targets by 2030, while another 9% needed further efforts to spur the progress ahead and 23% required concerted efforts to plug the data gaps (Chart 1). The remaining 13% are not applicable to Singapore.
Chart 1: Overall Progress Distribution of Targets

Among the 17 Goals, Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being), Goal 4 (Quality Education), Goal 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) and Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) had the highest share of good or fair progress made, after excluding those targets which are not applicable to Singapore (Chart 2). More efforts are required in terms of accelerating the progress for Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure) and Goal 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), and for bridging the data gaps in Goal 2 (Zero Hunger), Goal 5 (Gender Equality), and Goal 14 (Life Below Water).

Note: Data are based on 147 of 169 SDG targets that are applicable to Singapore. That is, targets not applicable to Singapore are excluded when rebasing to 100% within each goal to allow for clearer goal-on-goal comparisons.
A detailed Progress Tracker listing each target’s progress is available in Chart 3. Users can access the methodological note for details on how Singapore’s SDG Progress is categorised for the various SDG targets.
